A small mountain school, Nederland Middle/Senior High School offers students, grades 6-12, a traditional curriculum with personalized instruction. Honors courses are offered for students in middle grades, while Advanced Placement courses are available to students at the high school level. Special programs include mountain sports and many other athletics, drama, science fair, student government and more.

Just minutes from Nederland, Eldora Mountain Ski Resort covers 680 acres of terrain and runs 11 lifts over the ski season. Eldora has ski runs for all levels including Greens, Blues and Blacks as well as three terrain parks with a variety of freestyle features. Downhill skiing, Snowboarding, Telemark Skiing and Nordic Skiing lessons are available for all ages and skill levels. Lodging is available as well as equipment rental.
A Nederland original, this festival pays tribute to Grandpa Bredo Morstoel, a cryogenically frozen citizen Frozen of Nederland. Held the first weekend in March, festivities include a parade of hearses, coffin races, a polar bear plunge, live music and local food.
